The Power Of God’s Word To Salvation (Part One)

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel (the message or word*) of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone who believes …” Romans 1:16. To all who sense the deep inner longing within them to know God, by heeding the message of His word and coming to Him believing what it says, therein is power to save “to the uttermost those who come to God through Him” Hebrews 7:25. The heart of the gospel message is that Jesus, “the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost” Matthew 18:11. There is no way to escape that deep inner longing that continues to call for satisfaction, nor to escape the penalty of judgment for those who neglect or refuse His great salvation, for the Bible says, “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation …” Hebrews 2:3. There is no God besides our God “Who acts for the one who waits for (adheres to*) Him” Isaiah 64:4, and extends His righteousness to all who recognize their need “to be saved” Verse 5, and turn to Him. In Acts 4:4 we see that “many of those who heard the word believed” and were added to the church. Yes my friend, there is power in the word of God as the written LOGOS points us to the living LOGOS (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit brings into us the REHMA – the quickening, life giving power that saves “to the uttermost those who come to God through Him” If you have not done so as yet, won’t you please come to Him today?

Hungry Souls

-By Rose Hill

The people are hungry they know not what for,

They are seeking and seeking for something more.

They look to find it in some pleasure,

But only receive a very small measure.

If only they knew that in God’s word they could find the way,

To His freedom, joy, and peace today.

There is much work we should have done,

To tell them of the salvation that is in God’s Son.

It’s all written in God’s word,

About His deliverance on those who heard.
