Diligently

Our King James Bible translates 23 to 27 Greek and Hebrew words all with the single word diligently the different numbers arising because in some cases it comes from two or three words; so in reading our Bibles the word diligently must be viewed in the setting in which it is surrounded. In Exodus 15:26 “diligently hearken” means to hear intelligently and often implies to give attention to or obey. In Deuteronomy 11:22 “diligently keep” means to hedge about, guard, protect, and attend to. Then in Hebrews 11:6 “Diligently seek” is to search out, figuratively this would be to investigate, crave, and demand; and when used in a Hebraism it is to worship. Webster defines diligently as: 1. “persevering and careful in work; hardworking 2. done with careful steady effort; painstaking.” Roses prophetic word from the Lord today emphasizes being diligent about hearing God and then acting upon what we hear (see James 1:22 & 4:17). Guard that word, protect and attend to it both in your heart that no man or no-thing corrupt or remove it, and in the face of false and watered down teachings that there be no compromise; hedge about it. And this is even more important in this “the last time” 1 John 2:18, with the spirit of antichrist already in the world. This reminds me of Genesis 2:15 where God told Adam to dress (work or till) and to keep (hedge about, guard, protect, and attend) the garden. Adams failure to do so resulted in disastrous consequences! Obedience would have meant continuous blessings; our being obedient will bring glorious rewards, but failure to be obedient will also bring disastrous consequences, see Isaiah 1:19-20.

Be Diligent

By Rose Hill

Diligently listen to and obey Me says the Lord your God. Earnestly and diligently seek out My ways and what I have for you to do. For I am a rewarder of those who come near to Me and believe that I will bless them for their labor. Diligently do My works for I will render to every person according to their works. Diligently take heed to what I tell you. Don’t just be a hearer and not a doer (see James 1:22). He “that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not to him it is sin” James 4:17. Be diligent about reading My word and telling others about what I am saying. Be diligent about praying and seeking Me and My power in your life. It is The last time. Be careful not to waste it. Make sure you are doing the things that count for eternity (see 1 John 2:18).
