Who Are You Looking To?

In the book of Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2 the writer begins saying, “Looking unto Jesus …” It is by looking unto Him that we receive illumination; in John 8:12 He said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” Only as we gaze on Him do we receive this light; remember David’s words in Psalm 36:9, “In Your light we see light.” It is in this light alone that we are shown the way to God, taught the truth about God, and receive an impartation of the life of God (see John 14:6)! No other man can offer this as all others are mere men who are as frail as the breath in their nostrils (see Isaiah 2:22.) Jesus alone, being a man, can lay claim to divinity, applying to Himself, on numerous occasions, the two words by which God identified Himself to Moses in Exodus 3:14 “I AM”. An attribute of God proven by His resurrection from the dead (see Revelation 1:18), and thus only He can impart unto us who believe ON Him the truth, the light, and the life of God! Only by looking steadfastly on Him do we receive the illumination to walk through this world and not stumble (see John 11:9-10).

Look to Jesus

A prophetic word by Rose Hill, through inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Look unto Jesus; when you really see Him your pathway will be bright and illuminated with truth and life, for He is the way, the truth, and the life1. Do not look to man, for the arm of flesh will fail. Cease to trust in weak, frail, and dying man whose breath in his nostrils for so short a time2. But look to the one who has given life and He Himself has risen from the dead and is sitting at the right hand of the Father, the one who has overcome death and lives for forevermore3. I say again do not look to man, even if he is a great leader and claims to have a great new revelation from God. For even if an angel from heaven should tell you a gospel contrary to the good news about Jesus the Messiah let him be accursed and doomed to eternal punishment4. Magnify Jesus, make Him big5. Lift Him up above all others, for He is the only one who died for you and purchased your salvation with His precious blood6.
