Have You Seen The Glory?

In Exodus 33:18-20 Moses asked God to be shown His glory, to which God replied that Moses would see His goodness and hear the proclamation of His name, but could not physically look on His face. In due time God sent Jesus to become a part of mankind, and through Him we can see God’s glorious image according to Hebrews 1:3 and John 14:9. In John 17 Jesus, praying for His followers, said in verse 22 “the glory which You gave Me I have given them…” Then 2 Corinthians 3:18 tells us that as we behold His glory we “are being transformed into the same image” in ever increasing manor, which embodies His goodness, His Name, His graciousness, and His compassion!

God’s Glory

By Rose Hill

God, You are pleased to show us Your glory,

And we’ll be able to tell the great story.

Of Your goodness that will be seen by all,

The old and young the big and small.

Your glory is manifested in Your name,

And we will know Your power just came.

To do many mighty works through us,

For in You we do always put our trust.

Your glory will show Your mercy and grace,

For all the people of every race.

And Your glory is really what You are.

It’s for all people both near and far.

God You are pleased to show us Your glory,

So we never will really have to worry.

For Your glory protects from the evil one,

And we have victory through the blood of Your Son.

Looking to You we see Your glory more,

And become like You more than ever before.
