Read And Known

You are our  epistle” (a written message or letter) “written within our hearts; known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh” 2 Corinthians 3:2-3. Paul did not need letters of recommendation to prove his legitimacy as an Apostle and minister of Christ; the changed lives of the Corinthians through his ministry proved that, and their changed lives were Christ’s epistle to those around them as they now, “with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3:18. Yes, from one degree of glory to another, thus becoming illuminated we “shine as lights in the world” Philippians 2:15, and as such become the light of the world” Matthew 5:14. And Jesus said, “Let your light shine before , that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” Matthew 5:16. Jesus is “the true light” 1 John 2:8, compare John 8:12; 12:46; as we allow Him to shine through us we become the light like that from the lighthouse pointing others to Him!

My Neighbor’s Bible

Selected by Rose Hill, author unknown

I am my neighbors Bible,

He reads me when we meet.

Today he reads me in my home,

Tomorrow in the street.

He may be relative or friend,

Or slight acquaintance be;

He may not even know my name,

Yet he is reading me.
