Without question Jesus makes a difference in every life into which He is invited. Ephesians chapter two takes us on an exciting journey from death into life; from being controlled by the prince of the power of the air (which is Satan) to sitting together “in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus”; from being alienated from the family, covenants, and promises of God to becoming members of His household; from being objects of God’s wrath while under sin in verse 3, to reconciliation with Him in verse 16; from being “strangers and foreigners” to being “fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God” in verse 19; from “having no hope” and being “without God” in verse 12, to becoming “a dwelling place of God” in verse 22. All this is brought about by Christ Jesus through His death on the cross. If you have not invited Him into your life won’t you reach out to Him today? I promise you that you will not be disappointed.
Christ the head of the church
By Rose Hill
We once were dead in trespasses and sins,
But through God’s mercy and love we can win.
We were serving the prince and power of the air,
But by God’s grace He made us an heir.
He made us alive and in fellowship with Him,
We are delivered from judgment and sin.
He raised us up to the heavenly sphere,
We sit down with Him in fellowship here.
It is His limitless surpassing free grace,
That made it possible for us to have this place.
We are His handiwork born anew of God,
We’re living a good life as onward we trod.
We once were so far from God and His grace,
But now we are near and with Christ have a place.
We now are one and in fellowship with the Lord,
In His presence we are joined all in one accord.
