God gives a special message to His people in Jeremiah 31:3, “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” Because of this unending love He continues to draw us toward Himself, but remember that complete love is a “two way street” and that He longs for reciprocation which is necessary to complete the love circle! In order to be the recipients of the full benefits of His love we must yield to His embrace, and embrace Him in return! In this life we will face times of tribulation, distress, persecution, and many other adversities, but they do not separate us from His love; rather they testify that we still live in a broken, fallen, sinful world, and this should make us cling more tightly to Him, and it is here that “we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us”, Romans 8:35-39.
God’s Love
By Rose Hill
I’ve loved you with an everlasting love,
This is a message from your Father above.
With loving-kindness I have drawn you,
And with My faithfulness I’ve been true.
You I prized and showed My love,
When I sent My Son from heaven above.
To die on the cross for all your sin,
And pay the price your love to win.
Nothing can ever make My love end,
On Me you can surely always depend.
If suffering and affliction come your way,
Right by your side I will always stay.
Calamity and distress will not overtake,
I love you much and for your sake;
Persecution and sword I will bring you through,
And supply your need that’s what I’ll do.
