2 Corinthians 1:10 says, “Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us.” This verse seems to allude to three stages of salvation, “delivered us” being the moment we were “born again” and sins power over us was broken; “does deliver us” would speak of the continuing process of sanctification in which God reveals to us Old things like habits, ways, addictions, Etc. that we need to cast off and purify ourselves from; and “will still deliver us” looking forward the day when “we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is” 1 John 3:2. The word “trust” in the Corinthians verse above conveys to us the thought of having a confident expectation and reliance on God who promises to give us “a future and a hope” in Jeremiah 29:11, and to complete the work He has begun in us “until the day of Jesus Christ” Philippians 1:6, meaning that future day spoken of in 1 John 3:2. This confidence for the future is strengthened by our knowledge of what He has done and what He is doing because we know He is unchanging as Malachi 3:6 assures us saying, “I am the Lord, I do not change”. Since He is “the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last” Revelation 22:13, rest assured He is everything in between, the one “who daily loads us with benefits” Psalm 68:19 (even if we don’t always recognize them at the moment), showering us with “Every good gift and every perfect gift” James 1:17. Always remember that you are on His mind! (See Jeremiah 29:11; Zephaniah 3:17 & 2 Chronicles 15:2). Are you with Him?
Trust Him

Let us therefore trust Him well,
Never doubt or grieve.
Every good and perfect thing
From His hand is sent.
Happy seasons circling round,
Happy hours that fly.
All are planned by wisdom great,
By that mind on high.
