The Bible says, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven” Ecclesiastes 3:1. Yes, this includes the time to seek the Lord. Isaiah 55:6 says “Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.” The season to seek Him will not always be available to us; 2 Corinthians 6:2 says “Behold, now is the accepted (approved or favorable) time; behold now is the day of salvation.” Using the Old Testament example of the Israelites when they refused to heed God’s voice, bringing dire consequences upon themselves, Hebrews 3:7-8 says “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts…” Do not make the mistake of putting Jesus off to a later time; He is the only way to heaven, John 14:6 and heaven has no dressing rooms; the only dressing room for heaven is this world, and it must be utilized during this life! Remember the words of Jesus parable in Matthew 25:10, “those who were ready went in with him…and the door was shut.”
Will Jesus wait?
By Rose Hill
Someone said, to church you should go,
But with so much to do you really don’t know,
When you will have time to go;
So you said, Jesus can wait
You know Jesus died to take away sins,
And without Him you surely can’t win.
But a few more days you want to do your own thing,
So you said Jesus can wait!
But one of these days Jesus will say,
Ready or not I’m coming today.
It is the end of My long wait,
You put Me off and now it’s too late!
